About Me

My name is Alan Wu and I am currently studying in Western Academy of Beijing. I was born in New York City and lived there for six years. Then I moved to Hong Kong and lived there for four years. After that, I moved to Beijing which is where I currently reside. I love movies with a burning passion and I hope to enter the film industry as a screenwriter and film reviewer (I don’t like the term “critic”). Roger Ebert and Chris Stuckmann are my two biggest inspirations and I wouldn’t be reviewing movies if it weren’t for their amazing work. Some of my favorite movies include Drive, Saving Private Ryan, Life of Pi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption and No Country for Old Men. I have an odd taste for film but I’m proud of that oddity. I am also an avid Taylor Swift fan, so back off haters!

My rating system:

B- = Not bad

C+ = ok, not that great
